YOUR INFORMATION, EXPLAINED

Privacy policy

Last updated: 11 October 2026

Kenya Safari Match is operated by Click Metrics Ltd (“we”, “us” or “our”). We help travellers request quotes from up to 3 tour operators in Kenya. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use our website or contact us.

1. Who is responsible for your information?

Click Metrics Ltd is the controller of the information collected through Kenya Safari Match. For privacy questions, requests or problems, contact michael@clickmetrics.co.uk.

2. Information we collect

When you request quotes, we collect your name, email address, optional phone number, destination preferences, travel timing, trip length, number of travellers, budget, accommodation preferences and any additional information you choose to provide. We also record your consent and the time of your enquiry.

When you contact us, we receive the information in your message. Our hosting and delivery providers may process technical information, such as IP addresses, request times and security logs, to deliver and protect the service. Please do not send passport details, payment information, medical information or other sensitive personal data through the enquiry form.

3. Why we use your information

Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter or give permission for unrelated marketing. We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means.

4. Who receives your information?

With your consent, we share relevant contact details and safari preferences with up to 3 tour operators in Kenya so they can contact you about your request and prepare proposals. The number of operators able to respond may vary. You can ask us which operators received your enquiry.

Tour operators handle the information they receive as independent controllers. Ask them for their own privacy notices and contact them directly about information they hold. Any safari booking is made directly with your chosen operator.

We also use service providers for website hosting, enquiry delivery and business communications. These providers process information as needed to provide their services. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

5. International data sharing

Our matching service involves sharing your enquiry with tour operators in Kenya. Your information may therefore be processed outside the United Kingdom, where data protection laws and rights may differ. Hosting and communication providers may also process information internationally.

Where UK data protection rules require safeguards for an overseas transfer, we must put an appropriate transfer arrangement in place, such as approved contractual safeguards, and assess the protection provided. Your consent to the matching service does not by itself replace those requirements. Contact us for information about the recipients and safeguards applicable to your enquiry.

6. How long we keep information

We keep enquiry information only for as long as reasonably needed to handle your request, provide related support and deal with complaints or legal obligations. We review whether information is still needed and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer required. The appropriate period depends on the status of your enquiry, any ongoing issue and applicable legal requirements. You may contact us to ask about retention or request deletion.

Operators apply their own retention policies to the information they receive.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to access your information, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, restrict processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and receive certain information in a portable format.

You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing michael@clickmetrics.co.uk. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. If your details have already been shared, we cannot undo that disclosure; we can help identify the recipients so you can exercise your rights with them. Without consent, we may be unable to continue matching your request.

We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We normally respond within one month, subject to the extensions and exceptions allowed by law.

8. Cookies and website storage

This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics scripts or marketing pixels. The quote form does not save your enquiry to your browser’s local storage. Hosting infrastructure may process technical information needed to serve and protect the website. If we introduce non-essential cookies or tracking, we will update this notice and request consent where required.

9. Security and children

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No online system can guarantee absolute security. The enquiry service is intended for people aged 18 and over. Adults may request family itineraries, but should not provide children’s names or other unnecessary identifying details.

10. Questions or complaints

Please contact michael@clickmetrics.co.uk if you have a question or concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our service or data handling changes. The date above shows when it was last updated.
